Excitement on n along e roads

work has begun. as in, my vacation attachment back to e force la. so far it's been zuo bo-ing.. got a colleague attached to same branch as me, n we've been assigned some research to do, den gotta consolidate into report. sigh. there's an astonishing amt of papers being produced in e force, trust me..

Vesak Day is a non-event for non-Buddhist / non-Taoist like us, hence, wad better way to spend it than to go out as a grp! so, 5 rather eng ppl made our way to Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts to look at their graduates' project display.. some for interest, some to support frens, n some like me juz there to look c..

so there were all these exhibits, some reg architectural design (e.g. Sports Academy, Media Centre, sth at Marine Parade i forgot, sth abt e 4th level of Sim Lim Sq.. blah blah), some reg tshirt designs (there's tis one abt e 7 deadly sins, but i realli couldn't tell e sins fr e design..), some reg multimedia software-related design. Den there was another gallery on contemporary art pcs.. there's tis one with 3 tv sets on e floor, supposed to depict dance movt. but we decided it sounded eerie with all e "woo, woo" sounds fr 1 set, n e constant "tok, tok, tok" sounds fr another set. yeah. i tink if u sit n concentrate on listening to e sounds for 1 day, u'll end up in Woodbridge.

tis coming fr a person who realli duno how to appreciate art lah. paiseh.

so aft tt, we walked back to Bugis to grab sth to eat.. came to 记得吃, a dessert stall. ate tis...

yea. i din like it. well aniwae, most of e rest enjoyed their dessert. ok, mabe Janus was complainin tt his walnut paste tasted like lotus paste. haha. oh well.

ok so aft tis, janus, who was sick (Get Well soon!), left for home as a tired young man. E remaining 4 (oh yes i nv say who came hor? Ailing, Janus, Shisi, Weiyi n me) made our way to Marina Sq (cos i suggested bowling lolz). Made a detour cos e back exit of Shaw Tower was closed -_- . so when we reached MS.. it was..

CROWDED.

Bowling waiting list was v long. Movies not in our plans. Ktv is expensive. Arcade there v small. Ailing left for her canvassing at Hougang.. hence, we 3 found ourselves standing on 3rd floor overlooking e centre atrium.

-i like to gallop, as long as i dun fall off. ugly? dun care-

yeah e Osim roadshow was quite packed. but shisi was saying, they dun seem to b on e right target audience, cos it's all e kids who were enjoying themseleves galloping away. adults? talking among themselves or glancing ard or making sure their kids dun fall. n seems like uZap might b successful aft all. although e ad sounds kinda.. OFF.

ok so aft standing there was quite long (QUITE LONG), n a trying session of persuasion of Siglap vs Holland V (i'm e neutral party once again), we ended up goin Geylang.. poor weiyi drove of cos.

Wah Geylang roads not easy to drive can. Diff fr Orchard is no ERP. cars probe out of e lorongs, ppl jaywalk with no regards to their lives. scary. IF i ever buy a car, i muz make sure i experience driving in Geylang n Orchard. i tink for manual car ppl, e gearstick wun exceed 2. haha. esp if u tryin to find parking. lots of illegal parking. but quite exciting. wahaha.. (of cos i say exciting la.. i in passenger seat hahaha)

ok so for those 1st timers to Geylang, next time u go there juz look for Lor 9. juz go Lor 9 k dun need to tink dun need to ask anythin. cos most of e gd food is there. and since u r 1st time there AND if u haf no guide, juz go Lor 9. wads there to eat at lor 9? a lot. juz go. HAHAHA. ok if u lookin for non-edible types, den i can't give u advice. but we did see a lot of them ard. near Lor 9. =X

-look for tis b/w Lor 9 n 11, frog porridge quite nice-

-tis place got nice 牛肉河粉, across e st got 油条大王-

ok so we sat there for a while chatting n tinkin if we wanted to go anywhere else to makan. well, we went to Lor 19 (see? easy to remem) to tis tau huay shop..

-all e stuff we ordered, yums. actually, e 豆浆 a bit sweet..-

-e queue was nv short thru out e 20+ mins we were there!-

So... go Geylang makan? duno ur way ard? juz go Lor 9. LOL. moral of e story. wahaha.
