U been to Ubin? =)

Well in e morn, went to e Creative warehouse sale at JE with weilong, who was aiming for e $1 128mb muvo sth i tink, which he intends to use as a thumbdrive, a webcam, n earphones if any. me? look c look c only. dun haf a gd impression of Creative, esp aft e attempted lawsuit with Apple. can only say "or-bi" at e counter-suit. sigh. Sg firms... aniwae, so he bought e stuff tt he wan, minus e $1 thing which had 30 limited units. Fri morn, 1030am, n u'd expect tt there shldn't b much of a crowd.. n u can say it a few more times b4 i tell u tt u r so wrong. nv underestimate e power of bargain deals in Sg. there muz haf easily been close to 200 ppl! as for me, i bought myself a pair of earphones as well. lazy to take pic. lol. was juz nice gg out with a fren who used to b so close. =) JEC food junction has expensive teh bing - $1.30! bleah.

Went to Ubin aft tt with e CS gang, both to cycle n also to celeb 2 "members" bdae - Shisi n Ailing. i shall put a prelude pic of them here..

So we met at Tanah Merah mrt at 2pm to take bus no.2 to Changi V, where e Ubin ferry terminal is situated. so when i got to tanah merah..

noe wad? i snapped 3 pics on my hp, sat down right beside n started reading Today paper (tis is NOT a paid ad) AND i finished 1 or 2 articles b4 i was discovered. -_- of cos, it's worth it for Kawaguchi rite? n to c, for e last time tis tournament, a sea of blue losing 1-4 to e reigning champs. haha. as for me, i was supposed to haf my IPPT on Sat, so it was a risk to go to Ubin (in Shisi's words, wad if i fell down n sprained my ankle?). Well, i decided tt i'd b able to limit my own physical exertion, n a gd amt of stretchin would prob limit e damage aniwae. n tt if an accident were to happen, i could get knocked down by a car or sprain my ankle while walking on e pavement at JE. *shrugz* hence.

so aniwae, 3 guys 4 gals arrived at e ferry terminal n found Ailing's sec sch's NPCC ppl gg to Ubin for duno-wad-reason (i din ask lah). n so, we waited for 5 more Ubin-bound ppl to join us (12 ppl to board, or rather, $24 to board).

E bike rental part of ubin has retained its ancient looks n dilapidated structures. there's a slight commercialisation of ubin, but it's not here. more later.

Our first stop of e Ubin adventure started off with bdae celebs! so, e usual proceedings occurred... (no, usual does not incl cake smashing n personnel-in-water treatments)

ok den we started on our road trip (cycling on e main road). much e same, saw a scarecrow-like thing which i couldn't b bothered to take pic (haha. but ailing did), saw a bumblebee fly across right in front of us (ONE only, not a swarm), n all was fine, weather was quite gd etc. n den we came across an interesting metal board beside a small hut selling drinks n so…

Den as we cycled on, we came across a chalet thing, complete with a pool for kayaking and a big patch of sand for “beach” soccer n Frisbee n other beach / sand related activities. CM whipped out his smaller-than-usual Frisbee n aft some dilly dallying, we finally got down to playin e game. Pleasantly surprised at e spontaneity of e gals who r not particularly known for their sporty-ness. It was FUN. =) Tiring but enjoyable.

Yup if u realize by now, tis chalet thingy is probably e commercialized part of Ubin, OBS excluded. Well, I guess with e irregular boating timings n e inaccessibility of e island, a chalet is prob a smart move. Wads more, bikes there r much much much much cheaper than Sentosa. Much much much much much… … ok u get e idea.

An unfortunate thing happened as Kenneth fell off his bike during a downslope right turn. Tink he kena jabbed by e handlebar into his upper thigh, with some epidermal damage at other areas which hit e floor (ie scratches). Shldn’t b much of a prob by now, rite? Next time down a slope, put on some brakes. Heh. Safety msg brought to u by tis blog.

wad a trip! Was pure fun n enjoyment. In e end I din take my ippt cos I had a stomach upset when I got to e venue. GRR. Suspect it’s due to my stomach being unable to stomach e belachan of e Changi V nasi lemak. Oh well. So much for tt aniwae. Wads most amazing was my muscles din ache on Sat. which made my missing ippt even more irritating. Not to mention e Sat morn weather was perfect for running.

Regret gg for e outing? Wads e pt?
