Our city needs tis kinda space

Had an enjoyable nite out yest.. dinner at Sakura @ Sci Centre w some ex-colleagues Chuan, Linlin, Sili, Elaine n Daryl. pretty cool. e food sux though.. it's my 2nd visit to a Sakura restaurant, e first being a mid-course dinner at Tampines Safra. din remem it as v palatable. tis time, it wasn't much better. so urm.. mabe if u were tinkin of it, tink of sth else? yea.

bcoz of all e late juicy news tt was coming out, i ended up late in meetin w Shisi n setting off for Equinnox, City Space Wine Bar. there, dylan n janus had already reached. it's COOL. it's THE place to b man! great view, great ambience, n a great voice sounding in e bkgrd. singing actually. i meant to go over to comment tt her singing was great, but i forgot. haha. honest. piano accompaniment.

i luv unplugged performances man. i could sit in e bar for hours, realli. cozy little place to be in.

problem is tt prices r kinda steep.. e cheapest drink avail is 12 bucks, if i din remem wrongly. e rest got 18 bucks drinks, which realli is e norm. i got a gin tonic for 14. i like gin tonics.. urm mabe other than e carbonic acid. cm decided to pop by, so i troubled him to pop by with a small slice of cake for our dear Janus. a mini belated bdae thing, but at least still reasonably belated. 3 days.

a minus pt for e place yest was how it was swarmed with smokers. =(

oh ya guess wad? i was dressed in vball shoes, jeans n England jersey (haha sorry.. e fake England supporter feels tt England jersey is a nicer looking one among some of e rest...).. a waitress came up to me n asked, "i'm sorry, can i check how old are u?" i had to try v hard not to laff. =P she came up to me ok. *hinthint* some ppl prob will say it's not gd for a guy to look younger than his age. well.. i dun care. =P dun b jealous lah.. wahaha.

eventful nite cos someone broke a glass (i din see how it happened.. no pieces landed on me aniwae). we changed fr a central seat to window seating. some angmohs came n when asked where they'd like to b seated, replied curtly, "we r getting a champagne. wad kinda seating would u tink tt deserves?" i'm not sure if they got e seats they wanted aniwae. $ is powerful, isn't it. cm came with 2 slices of cake for janus, n we were told "u can cut n blow, but can't consume". WOW. nice policy. haha. hence, we borrowed matches n janus blew e candle. =) n packed e cake home to eat. haha. we r law-abiding citizens.

small chats. some pics which shi*erhem*si is witholding =P (hence no pics here). prob wun b there again in a long while, with hall camps n sch reopening soon (no, NTU din close down. but u get my pt). life will revolve ard sch once more, pretty soon. n i'm glad i pushed ahead with tis mini get-together. thanx johnson for e lift, thanx dylan for coming even though for 1.5hrs only, thanx janus for coming even though u usu wun spend such money hope u enjoyed, thanx cm for coming despite having to draw e storyboard hope u've finished it, thanx shisi for staying thru e nite with me. n making my pool skills look tremendously professional. LOL. ;P

sorry juz one of those times i decide to show some appreciation.

take too many things for granted too many times.

oh yes.. aft dylan left for mahjong, janus left for last train n cm left for last bus, shisi n i stayed on for a while more. e waitresses kept bugging us for another drink, n den got us e bill (cheque, she called it). "i'm sorry bcoz there r quite a lot of ppl today so we can't keep ur table unless u get another drink." wad do ya tink? honest n practical handling or poor service? =)

we asked a lady beside our table to take a pic for us, n we ended up chatting. they were from New York, n aft touring London, were in Sg for e wk. n i'm reminded of how lousy a Sgporean i am, being unable to recommend e "muz-go" places to visit n such. shisi fared much better. yes.. i'm quietly ashamed.

hope they 2 enjoy their 1 wk stay. =)
